donate

The Plate Project gives our hyperlocal and chemical-free veggies to our neighbors at First Congo's Food Pantry. By purchasing a share, or donating to The Plate Project, you fill more plates with vegetables every week. Please join us if you believe in supporting beginning farmers as they work to build our local food economy, and want to share fresh vegetables with our community. Email sarah@rootsmemphis.org if you're interested.

Other ways to give

Can you make a bench? Do you have farm and garden tools you're looking to re-home? Want to throw a dinner party with our veggies because you just can't get enough? Let us know. We always have little projects we need done here or there, and we'd love to have your input and expertise. Email sarah@rootsmemphis.org.

Volunteering

Volunteering is good for your health. Volunteer with us on the farm, or in the grange, our aggregation and distribution center.

on the Farm

Working on the farm is hard work. Email us if you're interested in helping out in the field for a few hours. We love having individuals or groups, but require a few days notice so we can be ready. If you end up volunteering on the farm, please wear closed-toed shoes, and bring a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water. We take safety seriously on the farm, and only volunteers properly dressed will be able to get out into the field. Contact sarah@rootsmemphis.org if you're ready to get your hands dirty.

in the grange

Interested in volunteering with packing our produce and getting it out to our community? Volunteering at the Grange is for you. Much of our time is spent in two large walk in refrigerators where we keep the produce and flowers at the ideal temperature, so make sure to bring a jacket. Don't worry about freezing the entire time though, the Grange itself is kept at room temperature. Interested in helping? Contact sarah@rootsmemphis.org.

TOURS

Want to come check out the farm? We're doing tour Tuesdays, so email sarah@rootsmemphis.org to come visit the next Tuesday you're available. Don't forget to dress appropriately - sunscreen, a hat, and shoes that you're ok with getting dirty are preferable.

careers

Think you've got what it takes to be a part of our team? Want an engaging internship? We prefer people that have a few years of experience on farms, but let us know if you think you can help in other ways. Send a resume to sarah@rootsmemphis.org.

merchandise

Rep your local farm incubator program. We've got the goods: shirts, hats, stickers. Drop by the farmers' market on Saturday to purchase.
